General Info

Capo Caccia owes its name to the pigeon hunting trips that the notables of the 19th century carried out from boats during periods of calm around the promontory.

From the top of the Capo Caccia promontory you can see the wide gulf of Alghero and the nearby Foradada island, which constitute one of the most beautiful and evocative views of the island. Capo Caccia is equipped with a lighthouse which, thanks to its high position, 168 meters above sea level, is the highest and one of the most visible in the Mediterranean.

Currently, throughout the entire area, there are both the Marine Protected Area of Capo Caccia-Isola Piana, a marine reserve, and the Regional Natural Park of Porto Conte, established in 1999, whose territory is characterized by a great variety of environments of high naturalistic interest, due to the presence of animal species of community importance, and numerous endemic plant species (www.parcodiportoconte.it).

The Neptune Caves originate from the calcareous nature of the rocks, karst formations located on the north-western side of the Capo Caccia promontory, which can be accessed either by sea, or via the Escala del Cabirol (Scala del Capriolo), a staircase of 656 steps that winds along the wall of the Capo Caccia massif.

Description

The private village of Pischina Salida, in the Porto Conte Natural Park, is made up of over 200 real estate units, equipped with sports facilities (swimming pools, tennis courts, five-a-side football pitches, beach volleyball and basketball courts) and services (club house, restaurants, bars, markets), is located in the north-western end of Sardinia, near Capo Caccia, the imposing limestone promontory that overlooks the harbor of Alghero and which, with the other promontory of Punta Giglio, it encloses the large Bay of Porto Conte.

The equipped beach is very suitable for families with children who can play on the shoreline in the shallower waters. You can practice sports such as snorkeling, exploring the unique seabed, or windsurfing, canoeing and swimming.
You can also explore the splendid coves that surround the beach. Access to the equipped beach is reserved exclusively for members.
